The Last Home Story

Oh yes – that is a dramatic title for a blog post. The last home story. But do not worry, it is not a fatal title.   However it is true because this home story is the last one in my current apartment. Yes, I am moving to a bigger apartment in Munich over the next two months. So I was pretty happy and honored that my friend and fellow blogger Jules of Herz & Blut asked me to do a home story for the plant website Pflanzenfreude.de. I was more than honored and invited her over from Berlin.

Jules arrived in the afternoon and we had coffee in my apartment. We chatted, nibbled on some nuts, laughed, talked. And then we decided it is time to grab some food so we went around the corner to a Vietnamese place. Later we had a stroll through Munich and she was on her way back to Berlin. Seriously, I have no clue when she managed to shoot the pictures. But I think that is Jules’ secret: She does not make you feel like you are at a shooting. It is just a visit, a friendly chat, fun, and then all is done. The result are genuine, real life photos. I love them!

People who inspire me: Frau Seekuh

My blog series ‘People who inspire me’ is really dear to my heart. Because I want to show you that there are amazing people out there who share incredible inspirations. One of them is ‘Frau Seekuh’ on Instagram. So I invite you to look at these pictures – you will understand why she is inspiring me! And to be honest: This comes in very handy right now! Maybe you have seen it on my Instagram Stories: I am moving and I am very grateful for any kind of interior inspiration!

But first things first: Who is this inspiring Frau Seekuh? Her name is Joana and she lives in Berlin – with quite some personal style I would add! According to her Instagram profile she loves cats, tea, plants, books and love. Well all of this sounds like she could be a good friend. And looking at her home I would not mind sipping a cup of tea there. Would you?

I will tell you why I feel inspired by Joana. Her home is beautiful in its own way. It is a tangible manifestation of her personality. At least it seems like that to me. To be clear: I have never met Joana in real life yet I feel like I know her a bit through her pictures on Instagram. Little peeks of her life and above all of her home tell a story of who she is and what she loves. And I am always deeply inspired by people who let their personality thrive – in every aspect of their life. And especially in interior styling.
