COCOCOZY Design House Reveal

So excited to share a few photos of the completed COCOCOZY Design House! Today, am so excited that House Beautiful decided to do an exclusive house tour of this remodel project I have been working on for almost 10 months. Last year, I bought the house and started remodeling it in April. Now, here it is, a 1930 classic Spanish Colonial Revival nestled in the hills of Los Angeles in an enclave called View Park.

I will, of course, be giving you all detailed tour with all of the specifics over the next few weeks, but here are a few teaser photos of how the project turned out.

My style is an eclectic mix of flea market finds, traditional design, some California rustic. My own accessible chic style. It is Hi-lo design.

I love the way things turned out. I had to make decisions on every detail myself and I really found my voice through this process. More to come…

Interior Paint Makeover – Benjamin Moore Bright

It is all about interior paint today at the COCOCOZY Design House.  This 1930 built Spanish Colonial Revival needed brightening up on the interior so I went with the cleanest brightest Benjamin Moore color I could find.   I used Super White OC-152 throughout the house with dark trim and few spots even boast a wonderful teal color as well that I used on the exterior doors.  Here’s a look on how the remodel project shaped up vis a vis interior paint colors…

And what a difference it made! The sunlight just bounces off the floor and white walls. Love it with the contrasting trim. I wanted all of the interior side of the windows trimmed in the same color as the exterior trim which is Blacktop 2135-10.

I went with a two-toned kitchen for the COCOCOZY Design House. The upper cabinets were also pained Super White. For the lower kitchen cabinets, I went with Silent Night 1613. I love the depth that two-toned kitchens create.

Back Balcony Makeover – Cement Tile Shop

Cement Tile Shop was such an excellent partner. They came on board and provided us with everything we needed for the COCOCOZY Design House.

On my last post, I focused on how amazing the front walkway and stairs looked with the tiles. I’m so excited to share with you how the back balcony of the house off the living room came together!

 

I cannot believe how this balcony used to look last year. It’s come a long way from the salmon-colored ceramic tile! The back patio was the perfect place to get a big design wow with the beautiful cement tile.

COCOCOZY Design House x Lamps Plus: Lighting Update

I am so happy to say that the COCOCOZY Design House has been completed.  From top to bottom.  At night the house sparkles because of all of the pretty lighting from Lamps Plus.  Starting with all of the exterior lights.

On the outside, I went with traditional looking lights to go with the Spanish Colonial Revival exterior architecture of the house.  We have some awesome Mushroom Black LED Lights so the pathway lights too.

Beside the front entrance to greet guests, I used the Casa Sierra 14 1/2″ High Black Outdoor Wall Light. I think the brass looks amazing against the door color I chose and the tiles.

Kohler Kitchen Sink – COCOCOZY Design House

More updates on COCOCOZY Design House kitchen. Today it is all about the kitchen sink.  The kitchen remodel has come together. It looks amazing.  Better than I had expected actually.  All the details down to the fantastic sink area worked out. Kohler generously supplied the farmhouse style kitchen sink and and kitchen faucet.  I wanted the kitchen sink area to combine function and good looks at the same time…I think it worked out!  Here’s how it came together…

Kitchen Remodel Update – Monogram x COCOCOZY Design House

Monogram is one of our most amazing COCOCOZY Design House partners.  They gave us all of the fabulous kitchen and laundry room appliances for the Design House. We’ve come a long way since I first wrote about Monogram, GE’s high-end line of appliances that are all pro chef quality.

GE’s elite line of professional kitchen appliances are absolutely stunning chef’s kitchen style pieces! Especially with the highly-advanced technology and sleek design of that is so characteristic of. And they look perfect in my remodeled 1930s COCOCOZY Design House.

I chose the  24” Fully Integrated Refrigerator Column. I just love how adjustable they are!
