It comes as no surprise that I am a fervent aficionado of vintage style. I think I would always opt for vintage furniture over a new piece for the home when I have the chance. Why is that? I think it is mostly because I like the idea of one-of-a-kind pieces at home. Also, I cherish the mere idea of an item’s previous life. Even though I do not know anything about it, it adds a sort of mysterious aura to the item and ultimately to your home. So choosing vintage pieces is really a passion. I admit, it is often a challenge to find good and affordable vintage furniture and accessories. However, I have a great source for you: Pamono. This online marketplace is specialized in distinctive design objects – vintage and contemporary, and it is my favorite platform to search for new items for the home.
Before I tell you more about the platform, let’s have a look at my latest find from Pamono. I have scored a beautiful vintage rattan tray table! This beauty is so versatile: it can serve either as a little coffee table or side table. Additionally, the rattan tray can simply be lifted and placed on a big dining table or on the floor to hold magazines etc. This vintage rattan table came all the way from Studio1 in the Netherlands and honestly, if there wasn’t Pamono would I have ever found it? I doubt it!
Since I was rearranging a few bits and pieces in the living room, I found an appropriate place for the rattan table. I placed the vintage piece against my anthracite wall and placed a Dieffenbachia plant on it. Additionally, I added a few decorative objects: a shell, a thrifted jug, a Mexican ceramic figurine, a crystal, and an air plant. I think this vintage rattan table fits perfectly into my living room, don’t you agree? Anyway, I am pretty sure it will move around every now and then. We will see!
Sourcing vintage furniture on Pamono is nothing new to me, to be honest. My first purchase through Pamono was quite a while ago when I was still living in my old apartment. Ever since I have been a returning customer because it is the easiest and most convenient way to look for new design objects. I love flea markets, but I rarely have the time to visit them. Thrift shops are also great, but again time is an issue. Pamono bridges this issue by sourcing a wide array of vintage and contemporary pieces from shops around the globe.
