Spring (cleaning) is in the air

Spring is a magical season. It makes me frolic – literally. I am in a constant good mood (but when am I not!), I want to go out, meet people. My days usually start with music. I tend to my plants, I dance, I sing. In a nutshell: I am nuts during spring! No seriously, I feel like everything is in motion and so am I. One thing is still on my to-do list however: the annual spring cleaning. Let’s see if I can motivate myself to tackle that task soon. But first I need to dance a bit more.

Speaking of dancing and music: I have teamed up with Tivoli to test their latest product – the Model One Digital radio & speaker from their new Art Collection. What I liked instantly is that this radio and speaker unites a cool, contemporary design, smart technology, and the promise of a rich sound for the home in one device. The radio and speaker is controlled via Tivoli’s Wireless App and is pretty self-explanatory. At the beginning I had to figure out all the options offered, but now I tailored it down to my most common music needs: Streaming my music via Wi-Fi and listening to radio. The promise of a rich sound is definitely fulfilled: If I pump up the volume, my vase collection starts vibrating! Ha! With the new Tivoli Model One Digital I might be one step closer to my annual spring cleaning. At least the soundtrack is secured!

Another fact I love about spring is that not only the nature is awakening, but also all my houseplants are experiencing a new growth boost. New leaves on my Begonia maculata make me smile, the Oxalis triangularis is all cheerful and cheeky with her purple leaves, the cacti are showing new growth too. Oh and when I say spring cleaning, I mean the plants too. It is the season to repot some plants, refresh the soil, clean the leaves and more. I think I might need an entire weekend.

Have you done your spring cleaning yet? I wonder if there are tips how to do it efficiently. I guess it is also a good moment to part with things (if only I could). If you are a regular reader here, you know that I am a bit of a hoarder – but I try to curate my collections as good as possible. Ceramics, plants, plant pots, art, textiles, vintage items – everything mixes and matches in my home. However, sometimes I wish I had a bigger apartment to be more flexible and have more playground for my collections.

Obviously, I have drinks and coffee ready too. So if I sum it up: I have great music thanks to my new Tivoli Model One Digital radio, I am in a good mood, I have coffee and drinks – what else is keeping me from the spring cleaning? Oh yes, the damn good weather forecast for the weekend! We can expect up to 24 degrees Celsius and sunshine in Munich this weekend. How the heck am I going to do it? There is only one solution: procrastination.
