Here is a new discovery to me – maybe not to everybody among you – the Danish design label Umage. When I saw it for the first time I pronounced it very French. Like ‘Image’ with that unexpected twist of a U instead of I. It took me only a few minutes to realize I was wrong. Because ‘Umage’ is actually a Danish word meaning something like ‘going the extra mile to give you an extraordinary experience’.
In this case ‘Umage’ is certainly giving you that extra bit of style for the home. Their furniture pieces and lighting solutions have that signature Scandinavian style that combines simplicity and functionality. Additionally, their designs come to life through thoughtful craftsmanship and extra care for our environment. Thus these pieces are not only nice to look at, but also environmentally conscious.
The Lounge Around sofa bed as well as the Acorn lighting are my two favorites from their newest collection. Moreover I admit I like their stylings and colors – they seem to match my own color preferences, don’t you agree? ‘Umage’ is a really nice discovery from the rich pool of Scandinavian design labels.
