Let’s be frank: How often have you scrolled through your Pinterest feed and wondered where you can shop that vase, this cushion, or that sofa? It happens all the time to me! Yet sometimes you get disappointed as you can’t find the right source. Pinterest is changing that particular experience right now. With the new ‘Shop the Look’ feature it becomes easier to actually click to the shopping source of certain items. My first thought: Finally!
As an old Pinterest user I have decided to give it a go right from the beginning. I started a new ‘Shop the Look’ Pinterest board where I will be pinning mostly pics from my home with shopping links. So it will be much easier for you to find certain items if you are interested in getting them for your home too. Have a look at the cumulated ‘Shop the Look’ board of Pinterest too – you will find quite a few potential goodies for your home too!
Pinterest has launched this new feature in the UK, Germany, France and Japan and it will be rolled out successively to further countries and users. This Pinterest feature is already a huge success in the USA and Brasil, so it was about time it hit the European countries too! But how does it work? Very easy: You can recognize the pins by a white spot mark on depicted items. If you click on the white dot you will be directed to the product pin which then leads you to the shopping source. This is very helpful as more than 55 % of Pinterest users use the platform to search for new products (according to stats). And yes, I am one of them!
