Last Thursday we had the pleasure of a second round of partying – we launched our Urban Jungle book in Berlin! We were very happy to host a little launch party in the new Urbanara showroom in Berlin-Mitte. Lots of plants, good food and cold drinks as well as a stash of our new book awaited the distinctly cool Berlin crowd. Around 60 urban dwellers joined us – from newborn babies, successful bloggers, entrepreneurs and journalists – to celebrate the #urbanjunglebook with balmy summer temperatures outside.
The new Urbanara showroom was a fab location for our book launch. The team transformed ceramic cups into planters, added lush leafy plants in every corner and our book onto the shelves. After a short welcome speech by Urbanara’s founder Claire Davidson and Christian Tesch from our publisher Callwey, we had the honor to take over the stage. We talked about the Urban Jungle Bloggers community and the book writing process. Both Judith and I shared some anecdotes and fun behind-the-scenes moments. Afterwards it was time to chill, chat and have a glass of vino.
We are very happy for every single guest who joined the launch party. Particularly, we loved the fact that many guests dressed in botanical prints. After all this was Berlin with a very fashionable crowd. Our friend and fellow blogger, Jules of Herz & Blut, took care of the photography with her team. Thanks again to them! And thanks to the entire Urbanara team for organizing a wonderful evening. Also a thank you to our publisher Callwey for making this possible.
