Today’s blog post is dedicated to a very common and widely known problem. Especially for people in rented places: How to not ruin your walls when hanging art? Believe me, I ask myself this question very often. But now I have the answer as I teamed up with tesa and Juniqe for a little art update projects. And all of it with the promise of not ruining the walls when hanging the art. How? With the new tesa adhesive hooks that can be removed without traces. I was game and curious to see if it works. Follow me along!

As an interior styling fan I am always thinking of new ways to decorate my home. A poplular way to change the look and feel of a room is by art. For quite a long time I had a mini gallery wall above my bed and now it felt like the moment has come to change things. I opted for two beautiful framed art pieces by German artist Iris Lehnhardt (THIS and THIS) via Juniqe. Since my bedroom nook is defined by a droop I went for a larger and a smaller frame. Both art pieces belong to the same series and a bright oak frame additionally ties them together visually.

Now how to avoid adding new nail holes into the wall when hanging art? Simply by using the new tesa adhesif hooks with the removable Powerstrips. No hammering, no drilling. Definitely my kind of choice. Now all I needed was a pocket rule, a pencil and my level app on the iPhone. With larger art pieces it is also helpful to have a second person by your side – I was a bit challenged! Still I managed to get those babies up on the wall. With no destruction by the way! The new adhesive hooks come in different strengths according to the weight of the framed art.

The great advantage of the new hooks is that they allow for height adjustments even after being fixed on the wall. The hooks have five height settings that can be adjusted adequately. And it truly is easy work – even for non DIY people like me! So maybe you want to consider the new tesa hooks next time you are hanging art. And honestly, no matter if you live in a rented space or you own your home: It always hurts when you drill a hole or add another nail to the wall, doesn’t it? So finito with these pain points once and forever!

Hanging my new art was so relaxed and easy this time that I rewarded myself with a little tea break. I not only enjoyed the new art and a good fruit infusion, but I also started thinking of plans for 2017. And I want to put an emphasis on more free and creative time and less obligations and routine. For that I have found the perfect calendar: the Treuleben calendar with soft leather covers and lots of space for the weekends and not so much space for the workdays. Let’s make this our mission in 2017!
